Like its predecessor, the arcade cabinet of Bonds of the Battlefield II is built to resemble a Mobile Suit's cockpit. The arcade stations are now called C.O.R.E., and it is less enclosed than first game's P.O.D. set-up. Instead of a single large, curved monitor there are now three 43 inch displays. It has adjustable seats, surround sound speakers, and lever controls with buttons for the hands and pedal controls worked with the feet. A single game lasts up to five minutes. Games can still be played with up to eight other players. If you are with other people voice chat can be possible between players, though it is not required, and there are also two jacks to plug in headphones and a microphone if the player chooses. There is also a smaller central kiosk called the Pilot Terminal, where players must insert their cards and pay for playtime, and they can also manage their Mobile Suit teams and loadouts, called Decks, at the Pilot Terminal. Player's can also manage their Decks by using their phones. Each person must insert their pilot card into its slot and enough money at the Pilot Terminal to begin gameplay, as there is no spot to insert payment at the C.O.R.E. itself.
