At the Gundam Factory Yokohama, the short film's middle-aged protagonist watches with his family as the RX-78F00 Gundam statue take a step forward. Turning to look at the amazement in the eyes of his young granddaughter, the protagonist reminiscences back on when he was her age, inspired by the battles of the RX-78-2 Gundam to try to fight his own battles against a guard dog on his way to school. At the end of the day, he and his brother rush home to watch Mobile Suit Gundam.
